[edit] Open Democratic Science Wiki

By now this is a site for experimenting with democratic science. The idea is that democracy is the best possible criterion of truth in any community, therefore it is also the best criterion of truth in science.

This may sound weird at first, but think more. No proof is enough for something to be considered as a truth in science. What is necessary in addition to proof, is the acceptance by the system of science, which finally usually requires peer reviews and acceptance by certain prominent scientists. In essence, this is a form of democracy, and contains certain elements of democratic decision making, like approval by several people, but the problem is that this is a very primitive form of democracy, and a lot of authocracy is involved in the process, which is reminiscent from the medieval times. Such system of decisision making cannot be objective enough, because of a lot of authocracy, and therefore many possible subjective decisions by authoritative people, involved. Therefore democracy is much more objective system of decision making, and using it for decision making, would make science much more objective. Of course it is only possible to move as close to the truth, as the knowledge of the members of a community enables, but nevertheless, there is no better criterion of truth, than democratic voting.

So we try here to find out the approximation of truth for ourselves, about many questions in science. The truth would be found by voting, on the discussion page of each pages, dedicated to certain question. Write whether you are for or against, and state the reason why. The voting also includes discussing the reasons why some people are for or against, and possible proofs or refutations with the appropriate references. The theories and concepts can be voted here as well, and it is not necessary that they are from prominent scientists or being published somewhere, for voting here. In the future, this site may also contain articles, which are written based on the understanding reached by the voting here.
